Eight years ago I became a mother.
To this guy:
A lot has happened in those eight years.
I have learned patience. I have learned love like I never knew possible. I have learned how to function on very little sleep.
Sometimes I still can’t believe that this is my son. He is so smart. So inquisitive. So sweet, to the very core.
There is a mischievous side to that soft smile. And there is a lot of love behind those blue eyes.
I know he will grow to be an incredible man.
Until then, I will enjoy reading Harry Potter with him. I will enjoy hugging him goodbye and kissing him in public.
I will enjoy watching him discover the world.
Happy Birthday to my sweet son. I love you more than you’ll ever know…until you have a child of your own.
