I looked at my three boys and thought about how fast they were growing. It seems that every day they look different. I tell them to “stop growing” and they laugh at me. I threaten to stop feeding them but we all know that’s never going to happen.
I thought about this summer and how it will be the last summer with just three boys. I thought about how, in just a couple of months, I will have two full time students taking the bus every day.
I decided to celebrate my three boys just as they are right now. Right at this very moment in time. I decided to do some portraits, just for them, so they could hopefully remember what it was like to run through a field with their brothers. I want them to remember what it was like to eat lollipops together and get sticky from head to toe.
I want them to know how beautiful they are.
I want them to know that I will always see them with great wonder.
I want them to know that they are loved beyond reason.
Many thanks to my Mom who helped with the coordination and boy-wrangling for this production. She is always there for me!
This is a slideshow I made from our day.
So here’s to savoring our youth. And here’s to savoring summer days with our families.
XOXOXO
