Kelby and Steve’s dreamy Vermont wedding was unique and wonderful. Throughout their day we experienced every kind of weather you could have in July! From thunderstorms with torrential rain, to bright hot sunshine, the sky never stopped changing. I couldn’t help thinking that it was a bit like a marriage and seeing how they remained calm and happy through it all was a joy to see. Their love will most definitely endure any kind of storm and they will be stronger together after each one.
Kelby was not only gorgeous in her Monique Lhuillier gown but just radiated happiness. When the storm stopped and I asked her if she still wanted to go into the woods for her first look she said, “Sure, let’s get wet and dirty!”. I love that. So much. Because that is the kind of attitude that makes a wedding day perfect. Letting go of all the details and just truly enjoying every minute of your day with your loved ones. And that kind of happiness and joy always shows through in your photographs.
Steven looked amazing in his Alton Lane suit and was also relaxed and up for anything. Being a lumberman, he built their wedding arbor himself and it perfectly framed the mountain view where they said their vows. Their wedding was intimate and heartfelt and it was truly an honor to be there to witness their love and elation.
