When my kids were little, I had a bit of an obsession: I was always on the lookout for a pony I could photograph them with. There was something about the magic of childhood and the gentle presence of a horse that felt so timeless. A few kind-hearted people let me borrow their ponies for photos, and those portraits—my little ones in cowboy boots and fancy dresses, nestled up to those sweet animals—are still some of my absolute favorites to this day.

It was during those sessions that I completely fell in love with miniature horses. They were gentle, curious, and had such a magical presence about them. I remember thinking, Someday, I’d love to have one of my own.

Well… that “someday” finally came true.

About a year ago, I brought home Starling, the sweetest little mini horse you can imagine. He’s kind, calm, and completely wonderful with children. And now, I’m so excited to share him—and the joy of those magical photo sessions—with other families.

Magical Pony Sessions are now available! These dreamy, storybook-style photo shoots take place in Francestown, New Hampshire, with rolling fields, dirt roads, golden light, and picturesque backdrops that set the perfect scene. Kids can come dressed as cowboys, princesses, or anything their imaginations can dream up. I also have a collection of vintage props and accessories to help make each session feel like its own fairytale.

Watching children (and adults) interact with Starling is pure magic—there’s an instant connection, a quiet kind of wonder, and so many genuine moments to capture. These sessions are all about creating that feeling, and giving families portraits they’ll treasure for years to come… just like I do with mine.
