Private home weddings are truly my favorite. They are so full of personality and sentiment so I always jump at the chance to photograph them, especially when the bride is as stylish as Michelle. This kind couple was married at Cole’s childhood home in Medford, Massachusetts. With the help of Events by Sorrell they put together the most stunning garden party for their family and friends. The clear top tent and florals from Fern and Moss were the perfect setting for their lounge areas and hightop tables. The couple wanted to keep their guests up and mingling (and dancing thanks to Silver Arrow Band!) so instead of designated seating and sit down dinner format they treated their wedding as one big fun cocktail hour and I have to say it was PERFECT! Guests did indeed mingle and move around all night and it was a lovely party.

I have some catching up to do with my blog posts but, spoiler alert, I purchased a new medium format film camera and I am SO thrilled to be shooting film again. I learned to be a photographer on film and it feels so good to be using it again. Many of the pictures in this post were shot on film and I’ll be sharing a lot more in the months to come.
